Today, we are the largest private daily service provider to at-risk youth in the Los Angeles Harbor area, operating 18 club sites, providing programming on eleven school campuses, and offering sports and recreation programming at the Daniel’s Field Recreation Center. We serve over 9,000 youth (ages 5 to 18) every year.
We're looking for volunteers to assist with higher level math tutoring, specifically for Stats, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. We need coverage at our San Pedro location on Mondays from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. It is a perfect opportunity for those who have a demanding career but are also looking to give back! This opportunity is also great for those who cannot make a large commitment, with it being one day a week for 2 hours a day!
All support is appreciative and we are flexible with the scheduling.

Description
BGCLAH offers assistance to youth, specifically low-income youth. We offer daily programming which includes Academics (tutoring), Athletics (sports leagues, general sports), Arts, STEM, Music, Dance, and College Preparation. We have needs in all program areas in which outreaching for consistent volunteers are vital for our organization to run since our members thrive off of 1-on-1 assistance. We also have a need for our Food Distribution Program (Weekend Wellness) which hosts a once a month distribution for our families and the community facing food insecurity. We need volunteers for this program since it requires a lot more labor and the more hands on deck, the more beneficial it is for our staff and program to run.
