Mission Statement

Eighty-fourth in the world: that's where the United States ranks for women in elected office, behind Mexico, China and Pakistan. Women make up just 17% of the U.S. Congress.

A pool of highly qualified Democrat candidates is being left untapped. Too often, women do not see themselves running for office. They do not think they are experienced enough or they just don't know where to start.

Emerge America is changing that.

Description

Emerge America is the essential step for Democratic women who want to run for public office. It is the only in-depth, seven-month training program that inspires candidates to run and gives them the tools to win.

By providing women across America with a top-notch training and a powerful political network, we are getting more Democrats into office and changing the leadership - and politics - of America.
