We're looking for a pro bono developer to create a responsive, interactive website, using the design template created by our designer.
Since launching in 2014, Shine Foundation ("Shine") has helped over 150 abuse survivors and their families get back on their feet, financially, with free financial/vocational education. This year alone, we plan to triple our presence in NYC, as well as continue to expand in Baltimore, to help even more survivors and their families.
But, to do this, we need a strong, user-friendly website to inform a larger audience of the importance of our work. Hence, this project is critical to supporting our growth and potential impact! We have already begun working with a designer to create the design, and would need a web developer to implement this design.
Once the new website is in place, we plan to share it with our wide network of survivors, volunteers, donors, media contacts, partners, social media followers, friends and family. Credit would of course be given to the developer and designer.

Mission Statement
Shine Foundation provides free financial education to homeless abuse survivors in NYC. In doing so, Shine strives to help abuse survivors get back on their feet, financially, so that they may live free of abuse. In the U.S., 98% of all domestic violence cases involve some form of financial abuse. Domestic abuse is also one of the leading causes of poverty and homelessness in this nation. We can change that, and help survivors shine financially.
Description
Launched in 2014, Shine Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, working in NYC, that helps homeless survivors of domestic violence achieve financial independence through financial education and support. Our approach is simple: we make financial planning fun and accessible to survivors, by delivering customized programs directly to survivors in local shelters and centers.
