One day, one river, one big impact!
Join Potomac Conservancy and Potomac Riverkeeper Network at Fletcher's Cove on April 8th, from 9am-12pm, as do our part to clean up the River as a part of the Alice Ferguson Foundation's Annual Potomac Watershed Cleanup. Last year, moer than 9,000 volunteers from across the region removed 334,000 pounds of trash from the Potomac's shorelines. That's the weight of 83 hippopotamuses!
So grab a friend and get your hands dirty for clean water! Together we'll keep the Potomac free of litter so this national treasure can remain a great place to bike, hike, paddle, and fish.
We're also hosting volunteers in Northern Virginia at Jones Point Park.

Description
Potomac Conservancy is a member-supported nonprofit that works to ensure the Potomac River boasts clean water, healthy lands, and vibrant communities. The Conservancy fights for improved water quality through conservation and advocacy, and empowers local landowners, volunteers, activists, members, and partners to lead the charge for clean streams and safe drinking water access.
Potomac Conservancy works one-on-one with private landowners to protect forested and open space lands; builds a vibrant and diverse river constituency to advocate for passage of river-friendly policies; and mobilizes thousands of volunteers in hands-on pollution cleanup efforts to raise awareness, inspire action and make a difference in our community.
