Tarrant Area Food Bank’s Community Kitchen provides free culinary job training to prepare men and women from all backgrounds for work in food services. The Community Kitchen gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and give back to the community.
Community Kitchen recovers surplus fresh and frozen foods to prepare and package meals that will be available for our partner agencies.
Volunteers help with this production process by working in the kitchen along side our TAFB Culinary staff and students and assist with the preparation and packaging of these prepared foods.
For Community Kitchen Production, volunteers are asked to commit to at least 2 shifts per month if possible.
