Join us on this overnight watershed stewardship campout, hiking remote and rugged Piru Creek, cutting invasive tamarisk as we go. We’ll camp out under a star-filled evening sky, enjoy a delish community feast, toasty campfire, and the good company of people like you.
This project is in a remote backcountry location, northwest of Pyramid Lake. Bring your friends, spirit of adventure and favorite camping gear. Meet location details, ride share opps and gear list come out with registration through the RSVP link. Habitat Works Volunteers have removed invasive weeds from 297 miles of mountain streams since 2003.

Habitat Works hosts single-day habitat restoration projects, weekend campouts and backpacking trips in Southern California's precious National Forests, private preserves and State and National Parks. Volunteers learn about our own local ecology, native flora and fauna and the challenges they face, and have the hands-on opportunity to improve conditions in Southern California wildlife habitat.
