YTech Digital Lifehacks: a series of 6 workshops targeted for young adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness, focusing on real-world digital skills that will increase participant access to employment, education and other important resources, including housing and healthcare. Participants will have the opportunity to earn laptops, tablets, and internet connection through hotspots.

Workshop 1: Computer Basics (Thursday, February 23rd 1:00-3:00pm)

Participants in this workshop will learn basics of operating a computer: powering the computer on and off properly, file saving, organization and search, adjusting settings, common keyboard shortcuts, using external drives, and identifying and using applications. This learning outcome is assessed by the participant taking and passing a Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment module.

We are looking for volunteer co-facilitators or teaching assistants. Volunteer co-facilitators would be trained on the curriculum and team-teach a workshop with another volunteer or staff person. Teaching assistants would help with set-up and individual one-on-one assistance throughout the workshop. Time commitment could range from 2 hours/week to 2 hours/month.
