Union 6th & 7th Grade Center offers free after school enrichment programming for our students. We are always looking for new opportunities to partner with organizations, businesses, and individuals to provide new options for student engagement. We are looking for people to provide any type of programming that you have an interest in. Here are a few requests from our students: Rubik's Cube solving, trading cards, STEM, history, movies, books, sports, board games, tutoring, art, music, debate, photography, short story writing, video games, cooking, languages, sewing/knitting. The possibilities are endless!
Our next session of programming is March 27-May 11th. The commitment is one day per week for 1.5-2.5 hours. 6th grade programming is 2:35-3:50 or 2:35-5:00. 7th grade programming is 3:50-5:00. You can do one grade or both.

Union 6 th and 7 th Grade Center is part of the Center for Community School Strategies. A community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Its integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development and community engagement leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. Schools become centers of the community and are open to everyone.

The Union 6th/7th Grade Center is comprised of over 2200 students. The Union 6th/7th Grade Center is a Community School. A Community School:
- Uites academics with families, school, and community to create a web of support that nurtures the development of children and adults.
- Is both a place and a network of supportive partnerships between the school and the community, promoting improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities.
- Is uniquely equipped to enhance the learning environment of schools by providing opportunities that improve students’ success and build a community prepared for the 21st century.
