Grane is seeking individuals who have a passion and a desire to be with people during their final days of their life? While sitting vigil with our patient you will provide a comforting presence and a gift to the patient and their family of them knowing they are not alone.
If you are considering this volunteer opportunity please give me a call. I will be happy to answer any questions you have and I will share my personal experiences of sitting vigil. Training is provided.
Grane Hospice Care is recruiting volunteers to sit at patient's bedside to Create a Calm, Peaceful atmosphere by playing soft music, singing or reading; just be present during the final hours of their End of Life Journey.

Description
A higher level of Hospice
Grane Hospice provides a Higher Level of hospice care through a low patient to nurse ratio, allowing for more care time whenever needed. Our aides provide additional personal care through bathing, feeding and dressing assistance. Our volunteers are also available for visits, errands and companionship.
Your Spiritual Connection
If you have a spiritual affiliation, with your permission, we will contact your minister to advise him or her that you are in our care. We will also invite your minister to communicate with our Interdisciplinary Team so that mutually, we can best serve your needs.
Our Ministers Will
- Provide a listening ear when you are worried, afraid, or just need to talk
- Address spiritual concerns
- Pray with you, read Scripture, or just sit quietly
- Provide or arrange for Christian sacraments or other religious rites
- Conduct funeral or memorial services
