We need you to make a difference in our community! Help the kids that need you most learn to read from the bottom up.
Responsibilities: Work with club staff to provide better materials and strategies for developing reading proficieny, assist those youth that fall well behind peers in reading skill
Timeframe: During the school year, Monday through Friday after school from 4:45-5:45. Flexible with YOUR availability.
Location: Wheeler-Dowe Boys & Girls Club located at 2310 E. 30th St.
Qualifications: Must pass a background check and come to our clubs with a positive, non-judgmental attitude, previous exprience teaching reading skills to youth

Description
Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis are special because:
- Dedicated Youth Facility - The Boys & Girls Club is a place designed solely for youth programs and activities
- Open Daily - The Club is open every day after school to provide a safe place for kids when they have free time and need positive, productive outlets.
- Professional Staff - Every Club has full-time, trained development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.
- Available/Affordable to All Youth - Clubs reach out to kids of all races, religions and ethnic cultures who cannot afford other programs or lack access to them. Dues are low, only $15 per year, although it costs BGCI $600 per year to provide programming for one child.
