This year, tens of thousands of people will participate in one of over fifty PurpleStride run/walk events across the country. Collectively, these events raise millions of dollars critically needed to make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer. For PurpleStride participants, the events are deeply inspirational and hopeful.

As the Teams Ambassador for the Austin Affiliate, you’ll help steward the top PurpleStride teams in your community and fuel fundraising that is critical to making progress for pancreatic cancer patients.

Make new connections, unite your community in the fight against pancreatic cancer and help spread hope and inspiration as part of the volunteer PurpleStride team!

Mission Statement

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

Description

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the only national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and advocacy for a cure. The organization raises money for direct private funding of research--and advocates for more aggressive federal research funding of medical breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network fills the void of information and options by giving patients and caregivers reliable, personalized information they need to make informed decisions. We create a sense of hope and community so no one has to face pancreatic cancer alone. The organization helps support individuals and communities all across the country work together to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
