SFCAPC is hosting a 10-week workshop for parents and kids called "Superheroes" and we need volunteers to prepare meals for the participants. Superheroes teaches parents and kids to hone their social and emotional superpowers - positive self-esteem, communication skills, resiliency and more - through fun superhero-themed activities. Dinner is served before the start of each workshop session. Volunteers are needed to:

  • Plan a menu
  • Purchase dinner supplies
  • Prepare the meal (catered meals are okay)
  • Set up the meal buffet-style for families to serve themselves
  • Clean up meal prep area and supplies

Quick Tips

  • Prepare for 20 guests (about 10 kids, 10 adults)
  • Include a vegetarian option
  • Ensure dinner is prepared and set up by 4:15 sharp
  • If you wish to be reimbursed, keep your receipt. SFCAPC will mail a reimbursement check of up to $90.
  • Dinner can be prepared in our kitchen or at an off-site kitchen of your choice. Catered meals are fine too!

Volunteer dates are available February 22; March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; and April 5, 12, 19, 26

If interested, please email volunteer@sfcapc.org and specify which dates you'd like to prepare a meal. Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SFCAPC!
