The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem.As a volunteer, you will be an important part of this mission.
The American Cancer Society offers a variety of ways that you can help with office tasks that support our fundraising events, and patient programs and services, based on your skills and interests, including :
*Greet and welcome donors, volunteers, patients, and other callers and visitors in a professional manner. Answer multi-line phone system and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff person.
*Make phone calls to confirm appointments and volunteer committee meeting attendance.
*Organize, file, fax, fold and photocopy documents.
*Organize and accurately assemble training materials and sponsorship packets; assemble mailings, label and stuff envelopes.
*Gather and organize supplies for fundraising events.
*Create spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and enter data into spreadsheets.
*Other administrative tasks based on skills and interests.
