Camp Counselors

Cabin counselors are needed to volunteer through our nearly 60 Camp Partners for summer week-long and fall and spring weekend camps. Volunteers must be available for the entire duration of the camp program and will be required to go through a separate application and interview process through the specific Camp Partner as well as attend pre-camp orientation. Age minimum is 18. Please note: Background checks are required for all volunteers.

JULY

We provide year-round camp experiences for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and other life challenges to help them grow in their condidence and capabilities.

Description

For over 25 years, Camp Twin Lakes has provided life-changing camp experiences to thousands of Georgia's children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. Camp Twin Lakes provides week-long summer camps and year-round weekend retreats at three fully-accessible and medically-supportive campsites, daycamps, and through hospital-based Camp-To-Go programs. Camp Twin Lakes collaborates with nearly 60 different nonprofit organizations, each serving a different population, to create customized programs that teach campers to overcome obstacles and grow in their confidence and capabilities. Annually, Camp Twin Lakes serves more than 9,100 campers, leverages support from 3,500 volunteers, and subsidizes 70% of the direct camp costs for every camper served.
