Fulfill the Red Cross mission by alleviating human suffering caused by disasters in your community. Join our trained team of volunteers as they serve as the Red Cross' first-in responders for disasters, including every-day home fires in your county. We need people who want to and will:
- Demonstrate committment to the mission of the Red Cross
- Provide timely response to disasters and assist those affected
- Meet the needs of those affected by providing shelter, food and other Red Cross services needed or make referrals to other relief agencies as needed
- Work as part of a county-based team, attend meetings, communicate regularly, register for shifts, and participate in ongoing training
- Complete necessary forms related to services provided
- Be on-call for a minimum of four 12-hour shifts per month
