ORGANIZATION: KANSAS CITY CHESS SCHOOL

The Kansas City Chess Club is looking for intelligent, reliable, and professional individuals to teach area elementary-aged kids the basics and rules of chess.


Our Ideal Candidate:

  • professional appearance

  • has experience and enjoys working with kids

  • exhibits patience and cheerfulness

  • punctual

  • has reliable transportation

  • hours are weekdays, before or after school hours

  • after school hours are mostly around 3-4:30pm

A commitment to work an entire semester is needed to be considered.


Preferred Qualifications: Current or retired professionals with management, education or military background are encouraged to apply. Former teachers and education majors are excellent candidates.No past chess experience is necessary to start. Even with little to no chess experience, we provide all training necessary for you to be successful. We provide background checks and youth protection training for all candidates.

Flexible Hours: Part-time position, anywhere from 1-10 hours a week, great for college schedules, retired individuals and people with free time.

Local Locations: Parochial schools, public schools, community centers, churches, and libraries throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area such as Park Hill, North Kansas City, Liberty, Riverside, Gladstone, Blue Springs, Leawood, Overland Park, Westport, KCMO, and more!
