Have the experience of a lifetime by volunteering your time at our convention.
The Down Syndrome Information Alliance is the local affiliate host for the National DownSyndrome Congress convention where we expect over 3000 attendees and require the support of over 400 volunteers to make it successful!
Most importantly is support for our Youth & Adults Conference and Kids’ Camp. The Youth & Adults Conference provides individuals with Down syndrome ages 15 and older with their own convention experience where they learn and participate in activities planned and presented by their peers. Kids’ Camp provides activities for children ages 6 months to 14 years while their parents participate in the General Convention.
In order to provide the best experience for over 500 youth & adults with Down syndrome, we need extensive support over the three days. No previous experience is necessary just a desire to interact directly with people with Down syndrome and a willingness to have fun!
Volunteers must be age 18 or over for Y&A and 16 years old for Kids’ Camp.
