ORGANIZATION: ProMedica Senior Care
Please visit the new page to apply.
Volunteers are the HEART of Heartland Hospice!
As a companion volunteer you can enrich the lives of terminally ill patients in your community by visiting one or more times each month. Visits may involve playing games, enjoying a leisurely stroll around the nursing home/assisted-living facility or just engaging in lively conversation. Service hours are extremely flexible and scheduled according to your availability and location.
You have the power to bring the greatest gifts to our patients’ lives... a smile and reassurance that comes with knowing they are genuinely cared for! If you've got a little extra time to give, a big heart and want to hear someone's life story, call or email Heartland Volunteer Coordinator Amy today to learn more about our unique volunteer opportunities: 800-236-1989; firstname.lastname@example.org. We're waiting to hear from you!
Volunteer hours are flexible and opportunities are scheduled according to personality/needs of patient and volunteer, location and availability.
Requirements: Must be 18 years or older; agree to a background/reference check; and attend an orientation to learn more about the philosophy of hospice and our company, the role of the volunteer and communicating with hospice patients and their families. Travel is required for this volunteer opportunity, so volunteers must have some form of reliable transportation.
