The Objective Zero App
The Objective Zero mobile app instantly connects veterans and current service members in-need to an all-volunteer network made up of fellow veterans, current service members, behavioral health specialists, and concerned citizens.

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Fundraising Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts to ensure the Objective Zero Foundation has enough resources to fulfill its mission. A new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to establish the development program for Objective Zero.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Objective Zero Foundation’s annual fundraising plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals; foundations; corporations; and local, state, and federal governments
  • Recruit, train, and oversee team of fundraising volunteers
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
  • Develop program for recurring individual donations to generate residual income
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising

You are self-motivated and a high-achiever. You aren’t afraid to cold call to generate leads. You don’t get discouraged when people tell you no. You have a growth mindset and are willing to learn new things. You are organized and an effective communicator. You are results driven. When presented with a problem, you think critically about how to solve it and attack the problem head-on. Most importantly, you care about our nation’s brave veterans and service members, and you think the current rate of over 20 suicides a day in these communities is far too many.

Qualifications

  • BA (required), MA (plus)
  • Two-plus years fundraising experience or equivalent experience in a related field (business development, fundraising, marketing)
  • Excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • One-plus years of grant writing experience
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to dedicate at least 10 hours per week
