Greetings!
We at the Cat Adoption Service are looking for some extra Adoption Counselors!
So what does an adoption counselor do? Adoption counselors are scheduled to come to adoption hours (2 hour shift) a minimum of twice a month (4 hours per month commitment minimum) to: 1) Show cats to potential adopters. 2) Adopt cats out / fill out paperwork. 3) Care for the cats. (LOTS OF CLEANING!) 4) Play with and love the cats!
It is a fun job, where you can meet lots of like-minded people who care for cats just as much as you. However, this gig is real work, and you will be expected to do your part in terms of cleaning, observing the health of the cats, and doing customer service work like paperwork and talking with potential cat adopters.

About Us:
We are a small no-kill cat rescue group, called the Cat AdopTion Service -CATS-, that adopts cats from county animal shelters in Los Angeles county, where they are on the euthanasia list, and moves them down south to San Diego where they are housed at volunteer foster homes, given medical care, and then adopted out to approved applicants at pet stores like Petsmart and Petco. Every one of us is an unpaid volunteer, and without the help of people like you we would not have the resources to find these cats new homes.

Mission Statement
The Cat Adoption Service is a no-kill, completely volunteer run organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and permanent placement of homeless cats and kittens.
Description
We rescue cats from high-kill shelters up in Los Angeles county. All our cats are then given basic medical care, including vaccinations and spay/neuter, and then are transported down to San Diego county where they reside at foster homes and/or pet stores like Petsmart or Petco, untill they are adopted by approved applicants.
We rely entirely on the efforts of our wonderful volunteers to care for the cats until they find a furrever home with a responsible adopting family. We rescue about 500 cats per year, and have been doing so since 2009. Please help us stay strong!
