RSVP is a nationwide network of experienced adults who contribute their time and talents to important programs that strengthen their communities. RSVP of Desoto County is sponsored by Porter-Leath. RSVP is administered by the Corporation for National & Community Service, the federal agency that supports service and volunteering programs to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement.
Volunteers are needed to serve in Desoto County to brighten the day of local youth ages 3 - 16 years old. We have special projects with Desoto County Schools, First Regional Libraries, ICS Headstarts and local daycare centers.
As a volunteer you can help motivate children through mentoring, tutoring, reading and crafts. We will find the perfect assignment for you. With as little as 3 hours per month your volunteer engagement can impact our community.

Porter-Leath RSVP is a part of Senior Corps and provides low-income seniors (55 and older) an oppportunity to make a difference in the lives of over 6,500 disadvantage children and young adults through mentoring and tutoring.
