On Saturday, April 8 th Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma will be hosting a Cadette Kickoff event from 1-4:30 pm at our council headquarters (6100 N. Robinson Ave, OKC). This event is specifically for Junior (4 th and 5 th grade) and Cadette (6 th-8 th grade) Girl Scouts to learn more about and share in the fun of being a Cadette in Girl Scouting. We’ll have engaging activities that feature one step in a variety of different Cadette level badges as well as exciting outdoor activities such as a rock wall, archery and a monkey bridge. We need volunteers for this event to help the facilitators at each of the badge and outdoor activity stations. We will provide some training in advance and volunteers would need to arrive at 12:30 pm. The event will conclude at 4:30 pm. To learn more about this event or to volunteer please contact us at info@gswestok.org or call 405-528-4475 - be sure to mention that you’re interested in the Cadette Kickoff event!

Mission Statement
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Description
Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma aims to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place, across central, southwest and northwest regions of Oklahoma. Through leadership-building programs, GSWESTOK offers girls pathways to explore their interests - including STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), healthy lifestyles and activities like our High Adventure Team and summer camps, and community service projects through our Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. These programs help girls make good decisions, appreciate diversity and contribute to the community. Our unique all-girl environment gives girls the right setting to achieve their goals!
