Picture yourself as part of a community that welcomes refugees with open arms, helping uplift Iowa's most vulnerable, and connecting Iowans with refugees to build an inclusive Des Moines. We are celebrating our 10th Year Anniversary at The Refugee Connection Center at LSI and are looking for talented, caring people to help us grow our EMPOWER Luncheon Event in September.

The Luncheon will help celebrate and fund The Refugee Connection Center which provides much needed services such as:

English classes, Child Care Certification, Financial Programs, Elder Services, as well as the Global Greens Agricultural Programs and Farmer's Market.

Time Commitment:

*Meet once a month through September.

* Naturally use your connections and network in the course of your week to help us grow and expand The Empower Luncheon.

Areas of Impact Needed:

*Assist in sponsorship recruitment.

*Help identify Table Hosts and fill seats.

*Assist in donor recruitment.
