Are you able to be that first shining face our members, staff and families see when they come in? Do you enjoy speaking on the phone, taking and directing phone calls? Are you organized and flexible? Then we have the perfect opportunity just for YOU! Benevilla is in search for receptionist and/or greeters for our West Valley Day Center located in Peoria.

In this position, you will be interacting directly with the director and staff to complete small adminstrative tasks, answer phones and offer a pleasant greeting to those that visit.

This specific center is one of five programs that Benevilla offers to the community. This facility cares for adults who live in Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix with developmental and intellectual disabilities, Alheizmer's, dementia, those with Parkinson's, and stroke surviors.

We have a variety of life enrichment centers across the west valley. Visit our website at www.benevilla.org for more information on our locations and to fill out a volunteer application.

Mission Statement

Enhancing the experiences of life for people of all ages. We envision a world in which people thrive, control their own destinies and age gracefully.

Description

Benevilla is a not-for-profit human services agency that has been providing care to residents of the Northwest Valley since 1981. We are dedicated to "cultivating a caring community" by providing assistance to seniors, caring for adults with disabilities, helping children learn life skills and we extend that experience to the caregivers of each age group.

Through a network of six adult day centers (located in Sun City, Sun City West, Peoria and Surprise), support groups, educational services and partnering with the VA, we provide a very personalized care program. This promotes independence and instills a sense of dignity and self-empowerment, regardless of the ability to pay. Not only do these services offer assistance to clients themselves, but many programs also address the ongoing and changing needs of the family members who provide the daily care to their loved ones.

We also offer intergenerational programs designed to bring together children, families and older adults in a unique setting on our main campus at Wirtzie's Child Development Center.

In addition, our 900+ volunteers provide services to older adults to help them stay independent in their homes. By grocery shopping, providing transportation to medical appointments, friendly visitors and handymen, we assist area residents to maintain a higher quality of life. This helps them to remain in the comfortable setting of their familiar surroundings
