It is time again for our summer camps! This will be our fifth year to host camp for our exceptional children. We want to offer them the same opportunity as other children who attend camp during the summer months. We will be doing crafts, gross motor activities, and simply playing with and teaching them for their 3 hour sessions. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to come help in your community while learning about children with social and developmental delays.
The Griffin Promise Autism Clinic is a Non-Profit 501-C3 agency and we can sign off on any volunteer hours you may need.
Our camps will have two sessions. A morning session from 9-12pm and an afternoon session from 1-4pm. We will ask that your arrival 30 minute prior to camp to help with set up and to stay 30 minute following camp to help with clean up. Our camp will be held on Main Street in Broken Arrow where we will be provided with a gym and meeting room for activities.
The weeks of camp will be:
June 8th-12th
June 22nd-26th
July 13th-17th
Our requirements for volunteering at our summer camps with be as follows:
-You must attend our volunteer training course. This will be a short training just informing you of the expectations during the sessions and to answer any questions you may have.
-You must complete a camp volunteer application.
-You must be at least 16 years old.
Your time requirements are as follows:
We ask that if you are going to volunteer that you can commit an entire week (minimum of 1 shift). We asked this because our children and their families rely on our volunteer to help out and engage with their children while they are at our camp.
*Some exceptions will be made in advance.*
I would love to answer any questions you may have about camp and volunteering with our agency, do not hesitate to email me. If you are interested in volunteering, contact me and I will get back with you within 2 business days and can include a volunteer application at that time. We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you this summer!
