In order to provide world-class care and support to our patients and their families, Capital Caring is always on the lookout for dedicated, compassionate volunteers to join our dynamic Volunteer Team. In order to provide world-class care and support to our patients and their families, Capital Caring is always on the lookout for dedicated, compassionate volunteers to join our dynamic Volunteer Team. We are looking for Bereavement Support Volunteers provide support and education for 13 months, by phone or with personal visits, and monthly mailings to bereaved family members who have experienced the death of a loved one. Volunteers must be empathetic and non-judgmental with respect to the beliefs and attitudes of their clients. They must have good listening skills and be able to evaluate the needs of family members.

Capital Caring Health would truthfully not exist without our volunteers. In 1977, this organization was founded by a group of dedicated volunteers, deeply committed to making a profound impact in our community. Capital Caring Health provides hospice, palliative and advanced illness care of the highest quality to patients of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. We serve pediatrics to geriatrics. We have two in patient centers and serve most patients in the comfort of their home. Volunteers are key to the service we provide. We train our volunteers and support them along the way. They are part of our team.
