Purpose of Position: Open Door-Lake Street is looking for an individual to make a short video for new students entering our free adult programming. This would need to be edited with sound and words and put on YouTube. Gain experience in video creation while helping introduce new English language learners and GED students to our classes!

Qualifications:
 REQUIRED: Experience with video creation software
 Excellent computer, Internet, and office software skills
 Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
 Dependable, prompt and able to maintain confidentiality
 Reliable transportation
 Familiarity with or interest in literacy and/or social causes


Training: 12-hour Tutor Pre-Service Training and orientation session with program staff.


Location: Open Door Learning Center-Lake Street, 2700 East Lake Street, Minneapolis


Time Commitment: Approximately 2-4 hours per week at Open Door Learning Center- Lake Street. *Some hours may be completed off-site; Schedule will be determined upon start, and is flexible. This internship may take 2-3 months and can
be extended. This position requires some availability during our morning class sessions (M-Th, between 9-12pm).


Responsibilities:
 Work cooperatively with staff to create an intake video introducing learning center procedures to new
student enrollees.
 Attend Open Door Learning Center classes to record classes in session.
 Request and comply with photo/video media consent and release documents.
 Create, edit and share a final video project.
 Negotiate schedule with staff; arrive promptly when scheduled.
