Overview: A web developer familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio projects to build responsive design web pages to capture user data, and save it to back end databases, and display data to users.

Skills:Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation) Experience in all aspects of HTML5 and single-page web-apps and frameworks. Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills.

Volunteers also needed for the following:

Data Developer to consume REST API. Overview: A developer to consume a REST API with data from the UN data sources to ETL into a SQL Server Database. Skills: Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation). Experience in connecting and consuming REST API data, and loading into an SQL Server Database. Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills.

DevOps - developer to instrument web and database applications to assure 24/7 availability.Skills: Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation) Ability to create automated testing and synthetic transactions. Ability to create automated alerts on system availability issues. Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills.

Humanity Road is the first digital disaster relief organization dedicated to educate the public before, during and after disaster on how to survive, sustain and reunite with loved ones. We are a nonprofit organization aligned with the United Nations global disaster response clusters as well as US federal, state and local disaster response groups.
