This 5K and Festival is Welcoming Hearts annual fundraiser. There are various volunteer opportunities for this event. For the 5K we need volunteers for registration, course , water stations, and finish line. During the festival we need volunteers for the snack booth, carnival game area, bounce house/inflatable area, festival area maintenance (trash,etc), etc. There is also opportunities for setting up and breaking down.

Welcoming Hearts mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with special needs by providing information and support to individuals, families, professionals and the community through education and social activities
Description
Welcoming Hearts has a special needs parent support meeting once a month. We also have various functions and events through out the year for families to network. There are also play groups, mom's night out and we are adding more. In 2017 we will be starting a community garden program, finishing our Resource Information Booklet and working to get them in doctors offices for families. We will also be putting together a new parent basket and talking with the local Labor and Delivery departments for them to be given to new parents.
