Goal of the position: Help with graphic design projects such as posters or newsletter
templates for Rainer Valley Food Bank (RVFB) to use for campaigns, events, and media
outlets.
Time Required:
Hours: Commit to a full design project
Length of Commitment: Minimum of one project commitment
Positions Available: 2
Position Availability: As needed
Description:
The Graphic Design volunteer would create as needed materials that portray RVFB’s mission and operations, in keeping with RVFB's style guidelines. The volunteer would need to have substantial previous design experience and their own access to Adobe Design Suite programs to create/edit pre-existing materials.
With only three employees, our food bank could not operate without a cadre of committed, long-term community volunteers who contribute over 2,000 hours of service every month.
Skills Needed:
- Previous poster, newsletter, and collateral design examples
- Thorough use & navigation of Adobe Design Suite programs
- Willingness to accept and apply feedback to design work
- High attention to detail
- High level of dependability & follow-through

Rainier Valley Food Bank is Seattle's busiest food bank, serving an estimated 25% of all individuals seeking food assistance in Seattle. We are proud to provide fresh, healthy, nutritious, and culturally sensitive food to more than 8,000 guests every month.
As a low-barrier food bank, we pride ourselves on providing resources to all individuals in need who may come across our doorstep. Rainier Valley Food Bank also represents the only emergency food resource in Southeast Seattle.
