The Santa Monica Symphony has a variety of volunteer positions available, ranging from ushering or handing out programs at a concert to helping us with our social media, marketing, and fundraising projects.
We also audition talented musicians who would like to join the orchestra. Auditions can take place in person or via video recording.
If you have experience with creating musical outreach programs to school children, we would be glad for you to share your expertise.
Additionally, we could use volunteers who are willing to help with set-up and take-down at our yearly fundraising event in May, that involves a chamber music concert, gourmet food, wine, and a silent auction.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Santa Monica Symphony is to provide free, quality classical music concerts to the residents of Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, and the Southern California Community.
Description
Lauded by The Huffington Post as "the crown Jewel of Southern California's community orchestras," the Santa Monica Symphony performs a full concert season of five classical programs each year. All concerts are performed free of charge as a gift and service to the community. The Symphony also holds periodic chair-to-chair open rehearsals where elementary school students can meet musicians, learn more about their instruments, and experience a real orchestra rehearsal up close and personal.
