We are looking for an energetic and patient volunteer to assist with reading groups in our kindergarten classrooms. The volunteer(s) session would be each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 3:00-3:30.
Volunteers would have the chance to read 1:1 with students, work on differentiated learning activities with small groups, and assist teachers with instruction as needed.
Volunteer must provide Person of Interest report from AST.

Pioneer Peak Elementary School is located 50 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska. The school is named for a majestic mountain, Pioneer Peak, in the Matanuska Valley. It is part of the Matanuska-Susitna (Mat-Su) Borough School District located in Palmer Alaska. Pioneer Peak Elementary School opened during the 1985-86 school year.
The mission of Pioneer Peak Elementary is to work together with families and community to provide a safe, positive learning environment where all students can be successful life-long learners.
