Would you love to brighten someone's day? Heartland Hospice has patients throughout Dansville, who are in need for a friendly visitor. Friendly visitor volunteers visit weekly and provide companionship through conversation, reading or helping with activities. Our program is very flexible; volunteers decide the day and time they are able to visit. We are very accomidating to volunteers with busy schedules.
Becoming a hopsice volunteer is a wonderful way to help patients in your area and gain experience in healthcare.
If you are interested, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Lori Case at (517) 244-0404. She can help answer any questions you may have about our compassionate volunteer program.

Description
Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain-free life and to manage other symptoms so that the last days may be spent with dignity and quality at home or in a home-like setting. It is the goal of Heartland Hospice to provide palliative and supportive services to meet physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs to the patients and caregivers in the home, health care facilities, or other residential settings. These services will be provided without regard to race, religion, gender, creed, sex or ability to pay.
