Flexible and Simple to Do
Enloe’s "Caring For You" Hospitality Cart program is a great opportunity for hospital volunteering. Volunteers roll our hospitality cart, stocked with light refreshment and small items for diversion and comfort, to patients and visitors in our family lounge areas. Along with offering simple items, warm smiles, kind words, and friendly conversation are shared. Caring For You Cart Volunteers provide a warm and welcoming environment for our community visitors.
Shift times are two hours in length and occur between Monday and Friday at the main campus.
Volunteers may work alone or in teams of 2 to 3 people. If you and a friend or family member would like to do this volunteer work together, please let us know during the application period. Minors age 12 and above may participate if volunteering alongside a parent or guardian.
Caring For You Cart Volunteers can expect 8 hours of training that includes a combination of classroom training, site orientation, and experiential job shadow. Education includes Compassionate Communication training in addition to basic cart protocols and guidelines.

Description
Enloe Medical Center is a 298-bed nonprofit hospital with the mission of improving the quality of your life through patient-centered care. It is one of two Level II trauma centers north of Sacramento, houses the region’s only Level II neonatal intensive care unit and operates the FlightCare air ambulance service. Enloe’s comprehensive medical services include cardiac surgery and heart care, neurosurgery, orthopedics, total joint replacement, cancer care, maternity care, women's services and bariatrics.
Enloe caregivers are focused on engaging each other to achieve higher quality of care, reaching out to patients and families to create meaningful programs and building bridges with the community to support health and well-being.
Enloe is one of the few California hospitals still locally governed. The hospital’s community-based, volunteer Board of Trustees protects this local status and assures that dollars earned are reinvested to improve the health of the community.
Enloe Medical Center serves patients and community members throughout Butte County and California's North State.
