Are you in the area of I-225 and Colfax around 5:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays and then headed near Colorado and Louisiana? If so you could be the volunteer we are looking for. Daniels Care Van provides free transportation to children fighting cancer and other life threatening illenss. We have a teen who needs rides after treatment at Children's to home in the Wash Park area. This will be 2 days per week, every week. Help the patient in the fight of their life and #TransportTheBrave ! (All volunteer drivers will have a background check run on them as per federal regulations and DCV policy).

Mission Statement
The mission of Daniel’s Care Van is simple: Transporting the Brave. We provide free transportation to children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses to and from their outpatient appointments when the family lacks reliable transportation.
Description
Daniel’s Care Van’s founder, Jeri Jones, lost her only child, 3-year-old Daniel, to leukemia in 2012. Throughout the many months of Daniel's treatment at Children's Hospital, Jeri noticed other patients' families using the public bus to get to and from treatment. She knew the hardships of having a child with cancer first-hand, and she realized how much more challenging that experience would be without reliable transportation. Daniel, even at such a young age, was a generous soul who always wanted to make the people around him smile. The need Jeri recognized in the childhood cancer community, combined with Daniel's spirit of generosity, sparked the creation of Daniel’s Care Van. Now, because of this organization, several children whose families do not have reliable transportation are able to get to their life-saving out-patient appointments in a safe and reliable way. Daniel's Care Van is funded entirely through donations.
