The Central Bervard Humane Society has been around since 1952. We serve the entire county- but to do so, we need volunteers for all kinds of projects, programs, and activities. This position is for off-site events. We have events in Melbourne, Palm Bay, Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach. Cocoa, Tittusville, and more.
We are looking for people to help with our off-site adoption and non-adoption events. You can volunteer for specific events in certain areas of Brevard or for reoccuring ones. We will never ask you to drive farther than you are comfortable with.
Volunteers can transport animals in their cars (in crates), or us our own CBHS vans. (unless you're really good at driving large vehicles, then you can drive the ADOPTION MOBILE!) Or someone else can drive and you can ride shotgun or just meet us at the event. What ever works for both parties.
Off-site events are important because they help remind the community that we exist, displays dogs/cats that are up for adoption, raise awareness of programs and services, and raise funds.
So, if you think you can are able and willing to help those that can't speak for themselves, then please give us a call. We'd love to have you join our team.

About Central Brevard Humane Society
Location:
1020 Cox Rd, Cocoa, FL 32926, US
Mission Statement
The Central Brevard Humane Society provides animal welfare shelter and programs that foster a humane ethic toward all animals. We also strive to deepen the community's commitment to spaying and neutering, as well as the adoption of homeless companion animals. We believe this to be essential to achieving our purpose of humane care and treatment of all animals.
Description
The Central Brevard Humane Society has served the Brevard Community for more than 50 years, making it the oldest animal welfare organization in Brevard County
Until 1952 Brevard County had no real support for lost pets and homeless animals. In August of that year, a group of animal lovers got together and the Central Brevard Humane Society was born.
Today, the shelter is open seven days a week to help lost pets find their owners and homeless animals find loving homes.
Using donations from the community, over 6,000 dogs, cats, kittens, puppies and other animals are cared for each year.
