Attwood School is a part of the Lansing Public School District. We are a priority, Title I school in south Lansing. ( http://www.lansingschools.net/schools/middle-years/attwood-elementary/)
As a Lunch Club Volunteer you would be required to assist students in their lunch clubs. You would be needed to assist teachers/staff in their specific lunch club activities. Some of the Attwood Lunch Clubs include Board Games Club, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Your role would be to assist the students as needed, including guided play, arts & crafts, science experiments, and other fun activities.
Accepting this volunteer position would mean that you would attend at least one day a week for two hours (12:15pm-2:15pm) until winter break begins, the week of December 25.
Any volunteer at Attwood is required to pass a background check with the Lansing Public Schools and attend an online Communities in Schools Volunteer webinar.
Please contact Meg McElhone at scattwood@cismichigan.org or 517-896-3318 with questions.
