Board : Stray Cat seeks two dynamic new board members to round out its board of directors. The current board is a mix of artists and businesspeople who are passionately committed to the success of the theatre company. Stray Cat is particularly interested in applicants with experience in marketing, communications, finance or individual fundraising .


Board Responsibilities

  • Attend Stray Cat’s monthly board meeting, usually on a weeknight. Committees of the board also meet monthly.

  • Hold a season subscription to Stray Cat and attend performances.

  • Give or get an annual $250 tax-deductible financial contribution to Stray Cat, $50 of which is a personal cash donation. The additional $200 can be raised through cash donations from individuals, businesses, sponsors, etc.

  • Be an advocate and ambassador for Stray Cat in the community.

  • Raise Stray Cat’s visibility and attract resources and patrons to the organization.

  2. Cultivating the next generation of theatre artists in the Valley.
  3. Constantly exploring theatrical possibility - what the live theatre is uniquely capable of.
  4. Striving to produce and/or develop original, unpublished work.
  5. Fostering a creative incubator - a free-radical environment dedicated to risk-taking where artists can find a home to do consistently fascinating things.
  6. Provoking, challenging and jolting our audiences out of conventional responses - sparking them to look at the live theatre experience through a fresher lens.
