About Little Friends Rescue

Location:

Welland, Welland, ON N1H 2P6, CA

Mission Statement

Our aim is to create a no-kill community for small animals through our rescue efforts as well as public education.

Description

Little Friends Rescue (LFR) is a non-profit small animal rescue that is dedicated to helping small animals in our community. LFR rehomes, rehabilitates and provides hospice care for rabbits and other domestic rodents. The small animals that enter LFR usually come from laboratories, high volume shelters, emergency owner surrenders or are found abandoned.

LFR was founded in 2015 by Rebecca Feddema and Corey Arsenault. It began with rescuing a small group of rats and has now grown into Southern Ontario’s largest rodent rescue. LFR is currently operating through a series of foster homes based in Southern Ontario and aims to have a shelter location open in early 2017.

LFR currently offers refuge for rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, and chinchillas.

Our work is made possible by the donations of our generous supporters and our team of hard working volunteers.
