Kids at Play
Caution: Kids Having Fun Ahead!

Attwood School is a part of the Lansing Public School District and has fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. We are a priority, Title I school in south Lansing. ( http://www.lansingschools.net/schools/middle-years/attwood-elementary/)

As a Lunch Aide Volunteer you would be required to assist students during their lunch hours. You would be needed to keep the peace within the lunch room, in the hallways outside the lunch room, and/or on the playground. On the playground you would be involved in directed play with the students, teaching them games such as HORSE on the basketball court, Four Square, soccer, or any other constructive, positive game that encourages teamwork and fun!

Accepting this volunteer position would mean that you would attend at least one day a week for two hours (12:15pm-2:15pm) until winter break, beginning the week of December 25.

Any volunteer at Attwood is required to pass a background check with the Lansing Public Schools and attend a Communities in Schools Volunteer orientation (about 30 minutes).

Please contact Meg McElhone at scattwood@cismichigan.org or 517-896-3318 with questions.
