Q: What's missing when suicide leading cause of death for LGBQTA+ youth between ages of 10-14? A: Hope.

Hope Xchange Nonprofit is dedicated to preventing suicide and improving mental health outcomes in our most vulnerable and high-risk populations: our youth, LGBQT and bipolar communities.

We accomplish our mission by developing innovative, early intervention programs to reach those who are struggling with a mental illness wherever and whenever they need us most, connecting in a nonjudgemental way with understanding and compassion.

Strong people stand up for themselves. Stronger people stand up for others. You can and will make a difference in this position.

In our bipolar mentoring program as well as through our team's mental health and suicide prevention activist work , we do much advocacy work on behalf of those we mentor - essentially we fight the callous system for what each and everyone of us is entitled to - fair and equal treatment, respect, and proper care.

We are now offering a free program to broaden our reach and expand our efforts to those struggling with any mental illness who are not in a position to advocate for themselves in what is becoming an increasingly uncaring world full of roadblocks and red tape and to those who are in desperate need of the care we all deserve.

Are you someone with a heart of gold and who thinks that everyone has a right to fair treatment, respect and care? Can you stand up and fight for what you believe is right? You don't have to understand the ins-and-outs of the system. You just have to be someone who is willing to be there for someone, show them that you care about them and that you will fight along side them for what is right. If this sounds like you, sign up to be a mental health advocate below. Join the Hope Xchange family.

This program is now up and is live. We have experienced a lot of interest so we would love to add you to our team of advocates. Here is the link to the program listing on our website.

We are currently looking for individuals that are 18 or older at this time and that have easy access to internet service and phone service since this opportunity is virtual and relies heavily on the internet and phone access.

This virtual job opportunity will require research of programs for many mentally ill people. We touch peoples lives in a very intimate and personal way everyday. Joining our team means a committment to researching and making calls to places to find information to help our clients live better lives. You may be given a client as a case. You will always have support from your Coordinator. Your case may be as easy as helping your client find a doctor in a rural area. It may be complicated where you have to stay in contact with your client and check in on them and fight for thier rights by helping them get the access and treatment they deserve. This might mean calling insurance or finding them shelter somewhere. If you have a passion for helping people and want to make an impactful difference right away in peoples lives then this is the right opportunity for you. Please send me your resume and a good time to speak. Thanks for speaking for people who otherwise might not have a voice.

With gratitude,
Kerry Martin, CEO & Founder
