Girls on the Run South Louisiana is teaming up with The Color Run as the charity partner for The Color Run 5K in Baton Rouge on May 17-18!
Ever wonder how The Happiest 5K on the Planet is achieved city after city? The secret is the amazing volunteers! The Color Run couldn't do it without 'em. Whether it's handing out water, assisting with check-in, revving up the crowd at the finish festival, tossing color or cleaning up confetti, the volunteers are indispensable. Become the newest member of The Color Run family by signing up to volunteer. You'll forever be a hero!
Through this partnership, Girls on the Run South Louisiana will be able to fund more scholarships and bring our program to even more girls in our community. By volunteering at The Color Run 5K you will be a part of "the happiest 5K on the planet" while helping young girls throughout South Louisiana.
Friday's volunteer shifts come with a free entry into Saturday's 5k.

Mission Statement
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
Description
At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula that includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k event
We believe that every girl is inherently full of power and potential. By knowing they are the leaders of their lives, these are the girls who will change the world.
