Mission Statement
(CLSMF) is a nonprofit law firm serving twelve Florida counties. Our mission is to provide access to justice through high quality legal assistance to low-income people. Since 1966, dedicated CLSMF attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and advocates have worked diligently to solve civil legal problems that impact the day to day lives of Mid-Florida residents who cannot afford private attorney fees.
Description
Justice wasn't meant for just some Americans. Justice was meant for all. This is why Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Inc. (CLSMF) is here.
CLSMF helps people solve problems that profoundly impact their day-to-day lives. We assist the elderly victim of consumer scams regain lost funds; we help domestic violence victims and their children break free from abuse; we work to ensure that the family living in poor conditions obtains decent housing.
CLSMF also works to attain proper education for children with special needs. We assist those moving forward from welfare to work so that lost benefits do not interfere with their progress toward independence. We help the veteran who has been denied Social Security benefits, funds which may mean the difference between having a place to sleep or homelessness. The most vulnerable in our society not only reach the doors of justice, but walk through with our help.
Our talented and dedicated staff is, of course, the key to this process. Serving twelve counties, we work to "put justice in everyone's reach" by providing high quality legal assistance to low-income people in civil (non-criminal) matters. Each office has a managing attorney, staff attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and highly qualified administrative and support staff members. If you are in need of legal services, seeking legal information, searching for ways to volunteer, wanting to help our cause by donating, or if you are simply interested in learning about the work we do, look around our web site and/or give us a call.
