Are you 14 years old or older? Do you love animals, nature, conservation and wildlife? Do you have a passion for learning and sharing your knowledge with other? Then you might enjoying being a Detroit Zoo Volunteen!
There are two different tracks for teen volunteers - Zoo Corps (ages 14-17 yrs) and Counselor-in-Training (ages 16 and 17).
Zoo Corps team members are out in the Zoo presenting hands-on science lessons to Zoo visitors. They also assist with fun events such as Bunnyville and Zoo Boo.
Counselors-in-Training members assist with summer safari camp.

The mission of the Detroit Zoological Society's Volunteer Services department is to provide a dedicated, trained volunteer corps of people who bring unique skills, love of nature and concern for the environment. Through meaningful educational activities, dialog and special events, the volunteers help advocate the Zoological Society's mission: "Celebrating and Saving Wildlife."
Description
The Detroit Zoological Society is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that operates the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Zoo. Situated on 125 acres of naturalistic exhibits, the Detroit Zoo is located at the intersection of 10 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue, just off I-696, in Royal Oak, Michigan.
