Do you enjoy road trips? Are you a little adventurous minded and enjoy the company of others? Want to help women go from crisis to recovery after domestic abuse? This opportunity might be perfect for you!
Families to Freedom provides long-distance transportation for victims of domestic abuse to get to safety.
Daytime weekday volunteer drivers are in high demand!!
We need volunteers aged 21+ with a good driving record, clean background and time to drive survivors of domestic violence from a safe pickup place in DFW to a destination either local or long distance. Pickup locations are typically from a shelter, hospital or police station. We help women and children get to another city or state depending on our client's needs for family or shelter. Families to Freedom provides the vehicle and all travel costs! Typical driving missions start in the morning. Some travel is same-day return, other longer trips may require an overnight stay (we pay for that) and may be more than a day of travel round-trip.
