ORGANIZATION: Lutheran Social Service of MN

The volunteer in this position will with work with the Korea Post Adoption Worker to identify documents in the adoption file that need translation either from English to Korean, or from Korean to English, and will perform that translation. The volunteer will maintain a high level of personal responsibility and accountability related to confidentiality and quality of translation. There are opportunities for this volunteer to learn more about Post Adoption Services and support programming in a variety of other areas as well if desired, including helping with service delivery, client support, or joining our Post Adoption support groups.

It's most helpful if the volunteer can translate both from Korean to English and English to Korean.

This can be done locally or remotely.

Description

LSS is the largest, statewide non-profit social service agency in Minnesota with over 2, 400 employees who serve in 300 communities. It is owned by the six Minnesota synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Services are divided into four divisions:
