Volunteers are needed to assist NJ licensed therapists providing occupational, physical and speech-language therapy. Therapists work with clients in our on-site clinic and while using the movement of the horse to achieve clients' goals and objectives. Sessions are offered Monday-Saturday at varying times during the day and evening throughout the year.
Volunteers will support Mane Stream in a variety of roles including: grooming and tacking horses prior to sessions, setting up the therapy clinic, supporting clients during the session and clean-up after the sessions. Volunteers are asked to make a weekly commitment of 1-4 hours. Therapy is held year-round at our Oldwick location. Description
Mane Stream provides year-round adaptive recreational horseback riding to children and adults with disabilities. Mane Stream also offers Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy, as well as an inclusive summer camp experience for children with or without disabilities. In addition to these programs, Mane Stream offers "Take the Reins" for veterans and Armed Services members and "Horses for Healing" for those living with, recovering from and living life after cancer.
