Mission Statement
New Leash on Life USA’s mission is to reduce recidivism and save the lives of at-risk dogs. We accomplish this with an innovative reform model that leverages the powerful bond between dogs and humans. New Leash’s model begins during incarceration with a dog training program that teaches practical life and social-emotional skills, and extends to high-quality case management upon release. Through this comprehensive approach, we prepare men and women for a successful transition as they re-enter society.

- The time commitment is minimal for fosters. We may occasionally need cooperation with scheduling to pick up the dog from your home to take them to an adoption meet, but we will always work with your schedule.
- For certain fosters, you are invited to join dog training classes every Monday from 4-5pm for 8 weeks. This is not required, simply an option we offer.
