Home Construction

• New Home Construction - Be part of a team that builds a new home from the ground up!
• Rehab Construction - Habitat buys older homes and then volunteer teams rehab them to be sold to families in our home buyer program.
• Home Repair - Habitat works with low income families who already own a home and live in it but need home repair work done to keep it safe, decent and affordable.
• Rock the Block! Habitat has Rock the Block events several times a year where we go into a targeted neighborhood and beautify it! Projects involve exterior home repair (painting, landscaping, clean up, light construction, etc.) and projects at schools, churches and parks. Join a crew of 400-500 of your closest friends and truly make an impact on one neighborhood at a time!

NO construction experience is necessary. We train on the job!

Other ways to help:

• Site Support Host - Serve as the host of the project site. Greet volunteers, prepare beverages, handle paperwork, assist with food service and keep the site clean and safe. Training is provided. This is a half day opportunity (7:30am-1pm).
• Meal Provider - Do you love to cook and share your delicious food with others? Provide lunch for a construction crew of 8-18 people at noon (needed Mon.-Sat. year round).

Habitat typically builds 16-20 homes per year (new and rehab) and completes 100+ home repair and Rock the Block projects. Volunteer opportunities abound Mon.-Sat. from 7:30am-4pm. This is an ideal team building opportunity for a local business, church, social group or family.
