Come help eager learners. The current choices for volunteering are:
WEDNESDAYS, 8:30-9:30 am. LISTENING & SPEAKING Do question-and-answer with beginning-level students. This is a fun, useful practice for students to use their new language.
WEDNESDAYS, 11:30 am-12:30 pm. READING
Guide a small group of students in improving their reading skill
THURSDAYS, 12:30-3:00 pm CLASSROOM ASSISTANT
Help with the lesson of the day. You would lead a small group and interact with students individually.
MTWTh or F 10:30-11:30 am, 11:30 am-12:30 pm WRITING
Enable beginner-level writers to build skills and confidence. The skills include, for example, capitalizing the first letter of a sentence, using a period at the end, including a subject and verb in each sentence, and writing clearly.
MTW or Th 6:30-8:45 pm WRITING
Help students with beginner-level writing, similar to the job above. Volunteer one evening per month or more.
Training is provided. Experience is not needed. It is not necessary to speak another language.
